We're excited to announce that Sterling Computer Services is transitioning to a Business-to-Business focus! This change will go into effect on November 1st.
For over 10 years we have been providing Residential and Business Computer Repair and IT Services to Lubbock and the surrounding area. Over the past few years, our client base, both business and residential, has grown rapidly. This has been a great problem to have, but has spread our resources thin, drastically increased our in-shop wait times and decreased our availability. Bilbo from The Lord of The Rings summed it up best, "I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread."
By focusing on our business clients, we'll be able to reduce wait times, provide a higher level of service, be able to better understand and meet our client’s unique needs, and develop customized IT solutions that help them achieve their business goals.
For our business customers, the primary changes you will see will be our increased level of availability and attention to your IT needs. Whether a long-time or new business customer, we will be reaching out over the next few months to schedule an in person technology review. This review will help us to better understand your unique needs so we can help you achieve your business goals.
If you know a local business that needs IT help, please reach out using the form on this page! We'd love to share more about how we can help achieve their goals through technology.
For our residential customers, I know that you may be wondering what this means for you.
If you're currently on our Maintenance Plan, don't worry! We'll continue to serve you as usual. We have made a commitment to be your IT Team, and will continue to honor that. We’ll be reviewing all of our Maintenance Plan contracts and will reach out to you individually if any changes need to be made.
However, if you are a residential customer not currently on our maintenance plan, we will no longer be able to provide you with services starting November 1. This includes on-site and walk-in residential work. We will also not be taking on any new residential customers past this point.
We are offering a special incentive to residential customers who join our maintenance plan through this month. If you join in October, you'll receive your first month free! If you are a residential customer that would like to continue using our services or would like more information on our Maintenance Plan, use the form on this page to get in touch. There will be a limited number of these additional residential Maintenance Plan Memberships available, and will be first come, first served.
Residential customers who are not on our Maintenance Plan in November will be referred to UBreakiFix for all services. I have spoken to the owner, Jacob, and he is looking forward to helping you.
If you have any questions or concerns about this transition, see below for some Frequently Asked Questions or to reach out to us directly.
We are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve our community for the last 10 years, truly appreciate all of your support, and are looking forward to the next 10.
Sincerely,
Jon Benton
